SYNOPSIS Adam Henry, age 12, is singled out from the other kids in his small town to take on the “missions” presented by a Unique Marble seller by the name of Marvel. These missions are begun by the use of “Traveler” marbles. Each marble, of which there are seven, has its own unique problem to solve. The locales that Adam (and perhaps his friends) travel to are varied and exotic, and each presents its own set of obstacles to overcome. Thrown into this mix is the fact that one of the marbles has been stolen, therefore compounding the mystery of the whole series.

The target age for these books, of which there are seven, is ages ten through fourteen, although adults will enjoy reading them for themselves and to their children. The books present old-fashioned virtues and vices without being preachy or violent, though there are intense scenes of action involving drunken pirates, lost children, and intrigue which may be above the heads of younger readers. Older readers will find many “inside references” to other media as there are “Easter eggs” hidden though the story.
